PICS' boss, Liam McDonald, couldn't hide his disappointment as we succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at Ashton United in a game which saw us concede two penalties and have a man sent off.

"I am disappointed with everything today," said McDonald. "To concede two penalties away from home when we were up against it anyway was poor and the lads should know better.

"Individual errors have cost us here and it is up to me to put that right.

"We know that we are going to lose games, that's football, but it was the manner of the defeat which has annoyed me.

"This was a good opportunity for us to extend our winning run, so to come away with nothing is unacceptable and I have let the players know this.

"We need to learn from it quickly and be able to bounce back and respond in the right way. There were three or four players who did well for us today but the negatives far outweigh the positives.

"There'll be lads who will have their chance to stake their claims against Coventry City in the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday."
