Match Report

The Pics travelled to Ellesmere for their latest league encounter.

Rushall started brightly and drew early saves from the Ellesmere keeper. In the 5th minute Marquez Sinclair anticipated perfectly and slotted home the opener, to give the away side a deserved lead.

Ellesmere were awarded a penalty in the 30th minute for a foul, then the referee changed his mind and deemed keeper Shaun Horan to have got the ball.

This was to be a sign of things to come, very poor decisions were made for the rest of the game, reams of bookings, a penalty awarded to level things up, a red card for a second yellow after taking minutes to remember the first one.

The game that should have been good, between two good sides, was officiated poorly, bringing the worst out of 22 frustrated players.

A point was a definite gain, as Rushall were surely destined not to get anything really on the night.

Poor game, poor attitudes, even poorer officiating.
