Arrived at Dales Lane during the close season of 2016 having had spells with Nantwich Town and Redditch United during the 2015-16 campaign. Born in Lisbon, Portugal he went on to play for the Cape Verde national team, winning 14 caps in three years and competed professionally in the second divisions of Portugal and Spain, before arriving in the United Kingdom and featuring in League Two football during a three season spell with Macclesfield Town. His formative years were spent in the youth system at Sport Lisboa e Benfica (more commonly known as Benfica), but only progressed as far as third-choice during season 1995–96. He then spent two years with neighbouring F.C. Alverca in the second division, after which he moved to Spain and joined Levante UD in the country's third level. With the Valencian team he rarely missed a game, being a key member of their championship winning side in his first season and then helping maintain their Division Two status in the following three years. In the January transfer window of 2001–02, he was loaned to Real Valladolid in La Liga, but failed to make any competitive appearances. He then wrapped up his career in Portugal by for three years with C.F. Estrela da Amadora, where during the 2003–04 campaign he briefly tasted top flight football for S.C. Olhanense in the Portugeuse second tier. Upon moving from Portugal he with both Walsall and Bury, before having trials at Tamworth during the 2006–07 pre-season, but had to wait until November 2006 from international clearance before he was allowed to sign for the then Conference National side. Despite Tamworth's relegation, he signed a one-year contract extension in July 2007 and in March 2008, having spent some time with Atherstone United, it was announced that he would be leaving at the end of the campaign having missed most of it after dislocating his shoulder during training. In December 2008 for League One Hereford United on non-contract terms as emergency goalkeeping cover, but had to wait until April 2009 to make his debut against Hartlepool United. In August 2009, he agreed to a one-year contract with Macclesfield Town and went on to become a regular starter for the Cheshire outfit’s reserves that season and also played in several league matches. His performances for the reserves were enough to secure him a further one-year contract with Macclesfield and in May 2011 signed a further one-year deal with the club but, was released 12 months later following the expiry of his contract. During summer 2012 he linked up with Harrogate Town, but was released at the end of the 2012-13 campaign and following a brief return to former club Tamworth he joined Worcester City in August 2013 and went on to make 32 appearances in two years for the National League North outfit, but left in summer 2015 after his contract came to an end. Just after the commencement of the 2015-16 campaign he linked up with Nantwich Town and then in September 2015 he linked up with Redditch United. Away from the domestic game he had become a Cape Verde international from 2004 onwards, but after falling out with the national team's management in March 2007 he was left out of the squad for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria. He did however receive a re-call for a game against Gambia In June 2007 in the same competition. In late May 2010, he picked for a friendly with Portugal, who were preparing for the FIFA World Cup. As the 117th-ranked team managed an historic 0–0 draw in Covilhã, he remained on the bench.
