RYAN PRICE

Extremely experienced, agile and confident custodian with a safe pair of hands who returned to the fold during summer 2016 for a sixth spell with the Pics and to add much needed competition for the No.1 shirt. He originally arrived at Dales Lane back in September 2001 after transferring from neighbours Pelsall Villa, whom he had joined during summer 2001 from Darlaston Town. A good shot stopper who commands his area and defenders with great authority, he was a key figure during season 2002-03 when the Pic’s finished as runners-up in the Midland Football Alliance and narrowly missed out on promotion into the Southern League. He first left the club in September 2003 to try his luck in Southern League football with Stourport Swifts and later had a short spell with Cradley Town, before he re-signed for a second time during summer 2004 and became first choice as Rushall clinched the 2004-05 Midland Football Alliance Championship. However, he left Dales Lane again in October 2005 after being released and went on to have spells with Oldbury United and Walsall Wood during the 2005-06 campaign, prior to returning to the fold for a third time during summer 2006. At the end of the 2006-07 campaign he moved on to neighbours Willenhall Town, before eventually linking up with Chasetown in 2008, where he remained until summer 2014 when he moved on to Hednesford Town. However, after making only a single appearance for the Pitmen during October 2014 while on dual registration with Chasetown, he then linked up with Evo-Stk League First Division South high-flyers Leek Town. November 2014 saw him transfer to Halesowen Town, prior to being snapped up by Stafford Rangers in January 2015. However, he returned to the Dales Lane fold during late January 2015 to begin a fourth spell with the Pics – where he remained until the end of the campaign and in November 2015 he eventually linked up with Romulus, before returning to Dales Lane in January 2016 to begin a fifth spell with the Pics, but later transferred to Stafford Rangers just prior to the March 2016 transfer deadline as cover for the side who eventually clinched the Evo-Stik League Premier Division championship.
