HENRY EZE

Powerful central defender who transferred to Dales Lane during summer 2016 from neighbours Chasetown. Nigerian born he first came to prominence with Halesowen Town during the 2009-10 campaign where he often featured as a midfielder and following his release in January 2010 he ultimately linked up with Solihull Moors. He spent summer 2010 with Evesham United before returning to Solihull for the 2010-11, later had a spell with Continental Star before rejoining Evesham again in January 2012. He later went on trial with Kettering Town before re-joining Evesham, for whom he had made seventeen appearances during the 2012/13 campaign. He then returned to Kettering in December 2012 and went on to be named as their Supporters Player of the Year for season 2012-13 following some sterling performances for the Poppies over the second half of the campaign. After playing twenty-five times for Kettering he left for Stourbridge during summer of 2013, before re-joining the Poppies shortly afterwards. The central defender then went on to play a key role in Kettering’s fine form during the 2013-14 campaign, which eventually ended in a play-off final defeat to Slough Town, with the player scooping the overall Player of the Year Award after a string of fine displays. In September 2014 he was snapped up by then Evo-Stik League Premier Division outfit King’s Lynn Town, but the centre back became one of six players who departed The Walks during summer 2015 after the Norfolk outfit could only claim an 18th placed finish. His next move was to Romulus, but in December 2015 transferred to Evo-Stik League First Division South neighbours Chasetown and became a regular in the side that came within touching distance of a play-off place during season 2015-16.
