THERE was plenty of drama as Rushall Olympic came back from three goals down to take a share of the spoils at Coalville Town in a 3-3 draw.
It was Rushall who were asking the early questions on a warm afternoon in Leicestershire, but it was the hosts who went closest to opening the scoring as Alex Dean fired just wide from the edge of the area.
With 14 minutes on the clock a powerful drive from Nat Watson stung the palms of Jose Veiga as Coalville started to get into their stride.
There were appeals for a penalty for The Pics when some marauding wing play from Alex Reid ended with him crossing invitingly for Josh McKenzie who went down under pressure but nothing was given.
The home side took the lead on 38 minutes when Callum Woodward got the better of his marker before finding the net from a tight angle and they were able to double their advantage on the stroke of half-time when some neat football ended with Massiah McDonald being played through and he made no mistake.
It was 3-0 early in the second half when an inviting low ball in from the left found Watson who guided the ball home from close range.
The Pics were able to reduce the arrears when Aris Christophorou crossed from the left and Reid was on hand to plant his header home.
With McDonald dismissed for the home side, Mo Diop went close for Rushall with a low strike that was well saved before a free-kick from Luke Bottomer found its way home to make it 3-2.
More drama was to follow when Reid fired into the roof of the net after his initial effort was saved, to level matters shortly afterwards and that is how the scoreline remained.
