RUSHALL Olympic made progress in the Staffordshire Senior Cup with a 3-0 home victory over Rocester of the Midland Football League Premier Division.
The visitors had the first chance of the evening when Carl Allen saw his dipping effort from distance land just wide.
But Rushall took the lead with our first raid on goal on nine minutes when Jazz Luckie fired home at the second attempt after the ‘keeper spilled his initial effort.
The lead was doubled ten minutes later when Luckie notched his second with a well-taken effort that gave the ‘keeper no chance.
Rob Ritchie-Smith went close with an effort for Rocester that crept just wide of the target.
As half-time approached, the visitors started to pose a few questions with Liam Shaw getting in an effort that was comfortably gathered by Jose Veiga.
It was the visitors who were asking most of the questions at the start of the second period without creating any clear-cut chances.
A break down the right by The Pics ended with the ball finding its way to Jack Squire who was able to turn home from close range to make it 3-0 with 78 minutes on the clock.
There was a great chance for Luckie to complete his hat-trick towards the end when he was brought down in full flight to win a penalty, which he stepped up to take but blazed well over.
It mattered not as The Pics made it through to the next round.
